Teller-Part Time
Position Overview:
To provide assistance to all customers with regards to their daily banking inquiries and transactions in a professional and courteous manner. Tellers are also expected to represent First National Bank as a sales / service provider. Tellers are expected to refer products/services to customer that benefit and strengthen our overall relationships with our customers.
Job Function:
1. Represent the bank in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing all transactions.
2. Perform all basic daily teller functions including deposits, withdrawals, cash checks, TTL processing, cash advances, selling money orders, cashiers checks, travelers checks and savings bonds.
3. Assist in resolving customer issues.
4. Maintain an average or higher level of performance with regards to the Teller Performance guidelines and Teller Performance Standards.
5. Meet and /or exceed all First National Bank sales and service goals as set by branch manager.
6. Make appropriate referrals for new products to customers to include: Investor Services, Trust Services and various deposit and loan products.
7. Understand and adhere to all security-related policies and procedures with regards to cash handling, customer services and internal auditing.
8. Understand and enforce all bank policies, procedures, and teller related governmental regulations.
9. Maintain and balance a working supply of cash on a daily basis. Conduct other balancing functions such as STM, TTL payments, travelers checks, money orders, cashiers checks, savings bonds, and cash advances by the close of each business day.
10. Have a thorough knowledge of the on-line teller system, banking system and other teller equipment.
11. Maintain a neat and organized workstations.
12. Perform basic opening and closing procedures of the bank vaults.
13. Perform all other job-related duties as they are assigned by the Supervisor or Branch Manager.
14. Understands and complies with all banking regulations, especially BSA/ AML as it pertains to job duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
§ High School education or GED.
§ Cash handling experience preferred.
§ Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
§ Organized and detail-oriented.
§ Self-motivator and initiative taker.
§ Able to meet established goals and job standards.
§ Service and sales oriented.
